Dr. Doo Yong Lim was born in Daegu, South Korea and moved to the United States with his family at the age of three. He grew up all over Los Angeles and Orange Counties, including Fullerton, Diamond Bar, and Chino. During his time as a student at Troy High School, Dr. Lim was mostly interested in history and literature, but ultimately decided to pursue dentistry after meeting an inspirational local dentist who truly cared for his patients.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific, Dr. Lim attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, graduating in 2014. For the next five years, Dr. Lim practiced as a general dentist all over Southern California. He completed his residency training at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California in 2021.
